Klara Salkova is one of the most experienced reining trainers in Czech Republic. She started her career in show jumping, winning Czechoslovakia Champion and Czech Champion titles. She also won several other medals in show jumping as well in dresage. Then she get involved into reining. Klara is a multiple Czech and Slovakia reining champion (with two horses: JJS SPIT SHINE and SMART CHICONITA ). Her bay stallion Smart Chiconita earned the Champion of the Year title (in junior and senior reining) for four consecutive years (from 2001 to 2004). In 2002 he was qualified for the AQHA World Show. In 2004 Klara won the Czech AQHA Show in Senior reining and the Czech CRI held in Celadna.
She also won the Czech FN Championship and the Czech WRC Championship in Senior Reining. She has also international successes: among them the first place in Junior Reining in Weikersdorf (Austria), high placings in NRHA Open and Limited Open classes and starts in the European Quarter Horse championships. Klara Salkova is member of the Czech Reining team and participated in the first FEI European Reining Championship in Reggio Emilia.
